The Northwest Louisiana Chapter of the American Red Cross was chartered to provide service to our community on June 22, 1917.  Since that time, our chapter has grown to include the ten Northwest Louisiana Parishes: Caddo, Bossier, Bienville, Lincoln, Natchitoches, DeSoto, Red River, Sabine, Webster, and Claiborne.  The Northwest Louisiana Chapter American Red Cross is a United Way agency.

Our Executive Director is E. Reid Brau and our Board Chair is John Manno, Jr.  The Northwest Louisiana Chapter is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.  We are a member of both the National and International Red Cross/ Red Crescent Movements.  In fact, volunteer staff from the chapter are frequently mobilized across the country to serve people in need whenever disaster strikes.

We are not a government agency and do not receive funding from any part of the government.  Services are provided through the generosity of the Northwest Louisiana public.
